RollRite supply two roller garage door profiles, each engineered for a different opening size. The right choice depends on the width of your garage opening and the level of insulation you want.
55mm Slat
Our 55mm aluminium slat is the standard choice for single garages up to roughly 3 metres wide. It offers a compact top box, a clean modern appearance and solid daily performance for the majority of UK homes.
77mm Slat
The 77mm slat is a thicker, heavier-duty profile designed for wider double openings up to around 5 metres. It delivers improved insulation, greater rigidity at width and a more substantial look that suits larger properties.

Are roller doors more secure than up-and-over doors?
Yes. Roller garage doors offer multi-point locking, anti-lift technology and a continuous aluminium curtain that is harder to force open than a traditional single-panel up-and-over door. Electric operation also removes the external handle, giving intruders nothing to grip.
Can I get a roller door fitted to a wider double garage?
Yes. Our 77mm slat profile is designed for wider openings up to roughly 5 metres, making it suitable for most double garages in Essex. During the free survey we confirm whether 55mm or 77mm is the right specification for your opening and headroom.
