About Billericay
Billericay is a historic market town in the Borough of Basildon, Essex, situated around 23 miles east of central London. The town has a population of approximately 34,000 and dates back to the 13th century. It played a notable role in the Peasants' Revolt of 1381 and has a proud connection to the Mayflower voyage of 1620, with four local residents among the passengers. The high street retains a traditional character with independent shops, cafes and restaurants alongside everyday amenities.
Billericay railway station provides direct services to London Liverpool Street via the Shenfield to Southend line, making it a well-connected commuter town. Lake Meadows Park is a popular green space with a boating lake, sports facilities and woodland trails. Housing in the area is largely made up of detached and semi-detached family homes, many with private driveways and garages well suited to roller door installations.
