About Hornchurch
Hornchurch is a suburban town in the London Borough of Havering, historically part of Essex and located around 15 miles east of central London. The area forms one of Havering's seven recognised town centres, with a busy high street offering a wide range of shops, restaurants and local services. Hornchurch has a long history - its name dates back to the medieval period and the town was home to the famous RAF Hornchurch airfield during the Second World War. Hornchurch Country Park now occupies part of the former airfield site.
Transport links are strong, with Hornchurch and Elm Park stations on the District line providing direct Underground access into central London, plus Emerson Park station on the London Overground. Housing across the area is predominantly 1930s semi-detached and detached family homes, many with integral or detached garages and private driveways well suited to roller door installations.
