About Epping
Epping is a historic market town in the Epping Forest district of Essex, situated around 17 miles north-east of central London. The town has a population of approximately 12,500 and stands on a ridge between the River Roding and River Lea valleys. Epping is surrounded by the northern reaches of Epping Forest, one of the largest public open spaces in the London area. The High Street sits within a designated conservation area and features listed buildings alongside independent shops and local amenities.
Epping station is the eastern terminus of the Central line on the London Underground, providing direct access to central London. The M25 and M11 motorways are both close by, making the town a popular commuter location. Housing in the area includes period properties, post-war family homes and newer developments, many with private driveways and garages suited to roller door installations.
